Question

If I was a chip?

OK, I'm new to this game I just purchased a 2000 f150 5.4 where is the chip located so I can find out if it is stock?

Can you run it on 87 octane without a lot of engine ping noise? If so... no chip.

Remove the passenger side kick panel. If it has a chip it will be sticking out of the back of the computer box there. If you have to ask if you have a computer chip odds are 99% that the vehicle doesn't have one.
