Vaccum line.

Can someone tell me where the top vaccum hose on the vaccum tree on top of the plenum is supposed to go? I think it is 1/4 "I.D. The person I bought the truck from has a bolt in the end of the hose. What does this do? Thanks in advance.

The bolt serves as a plug for the line. If you have a leak in vaccum, the truck will not run well, so they stuffed a bolt in there to plug it up

Vaccuum Line.

It is the 5.8. I suppose I phrased the question wrong, I meant to ask what would be gained by doing this, or why would someone do this?
