Dont have gear reverse only forward
Im from Philippines and just bought a second hand 1989 Ford Aerostar. After a few weeks, I observed an increasing delay in a gear change. The delay grew longer and sometimes it takes up to 3 seconds. Worse, I suddenly lost the reverse. Now I cant
drive the car, its all FORWARD! What is wrong? What should I do?
We dont have certified FORD mechanics or repair house in our city. Please help.

You need to have a transmission shop take a look at your van. They don't have to be Ford certified or anything. They should look at it for free. As long as you don't have to back into the shop, you'll be fine. Ha ha!! You can still drive your van. Just be sure to park somewhere where you can pull out forward. If someone parks in front of you, stomp on that gas!! YOu should have enough power to move them out of the way!! Good luck!
