if i remember right theres only about a 1/2" difference between the aod and c6 when i swapped out my aod for a c6 in my bronco if bolted right up in place no need to move crossmembers at all it was an 86 not sure about the 435

Thanks for the response. The truck I want to keep is a '79 F150 with coil springs and the NP435. I can get a donor truck that is setup with a C6, but that truck is a '78 F150 with front leaf springs and a different cross member. I guess that Ford switched spring types for '79, or one is just an odd-ball.
