Problem with gauges........

84 Bronco II, 2.8, 4wd. I'm having a problem with my fuel / oil press / and water temp gauges. All three gauges seem to read fine until the engine warms up and then start reading low, although I am not sure when they are actually reading true. There are also times when they will all rise dramatically together and then return to the previous positions (by dramatically I mean from the middle of the respective band area to over the top end, all together and quickly). I am suspecting that the water temp wiring/sending unit is the culpret because sometimes the water temp. runs high (I believe moisture has something to do with this but not sure). I have not tried a direct reading from any of the gauges, the engine is not overheating and it runs fine. Does anybody know of a common electrical part that these gauges would go through? Thanks, Dave.

Make sure the engine to firewall ground strap is clean & tight. If you have a wiring diagram, check the gauge grounds under the dash and does the WD show an instrument voltage regulator in the circuit?

Don't have a wiring diagram and don't know if there is some sort of regulator tied in to all of the guages. Anybody else have similar problems??
