Has anyone used those test strips for the anti-freeze in your diesel trucks? I have 30000 miles on my F350 and all that I have been doing is adding the 8-10oz of the additive that it calls for. Where can you get these and how much?
Single packs of the Fleetguard test strips are available at Navistar truck dealerships, their part number is OCC2602B and list was $1.98 last time I bought. They sell for less.
You need to check the coolant as well as maintain it. Additive addition without knowing the effect is a shot-in-the-dark. Too much of a good thing can be as bad as too little.
I picked up my kit from Carquest. Remember the kits do have an expiration date so you might want to go in with someone else since you will not use it up before it goes bad unless you have a fleet of vehicles or put tremendous milage on your truck.
