SES Light keeps coming on
99 SD,straight piped,6.6k mod,boost tube mod, open tymar type air filter,MAP sensor regulator mod.
Problem: under heavy acceleration the SES light comes on and stays on for several days then goes off. No noticeable loss of power;Used to do it with only the 6.6k mod also. Any ideas? Also, if the engine is in de-fuel mode, would I notice it? Doesn't seem to be any performance drop with light on, just don't want to hurt anything.

I agree that it is probably the ICP setting the light. With the 6.6K mod the ICP will send the computer readings outside of the range set by Ford and when it sees those readings it will set the light. My early 99 with the clamp mod will set the light too, but mine goes out within a minute or so. Yes if the truck was defueling, as in an overboost situation, you would feel it. By the way don't know if anyones done it yet so...... Welcome to FTE!!!!!
