Out of the blue my '90 F150 decides it doesn't want to shift until the engine is near "redline" (okay, that's a bit of a stretch, but it does rev pretty high..). I adjusted the TV cable just like described in the book, and I changed the fluid and filter (I drained the converter too) and it seemed to shift pretty good until the next day when it didn't hardly want to shift at all again.
Now the thing suddenly developed a noise that I can only describe as something of a "buzzing" sound. I figure it's either something mechanical broken internally (governor?) or the result of extremely high hydraulic pressure, but I'm certainly no tranny expert.
Either way it sounds pretty terminal to me. Anyone had similar symptoms or have any experience with these AODs? Any thoughts or input welcome...
