I am rebuilding the steering column on my 1969 F100. My truck has a 4 speed transmission with a floor shifter. In the steering column there are bearings in both ends of the column. LMC has the bearing for the near end but none for the far end. Does anyone know of a source for this part?
I had to do the same in my 70' f-100 i was unable to get what i needed from lmc but did get the upper and lower bearings ( they are the same bearing) from www.npdlink.com and the part # F-3517-1 (Bearing $3.01) also you will need the plastic bearing sleeve For both # F-3518-2 (Sleeve $1.11) Order 2 of each!!
If you find the bearing from a sponsor I need one as well.
I was planning on machining a new retainer and pressing in a radial bearing but if one can be bought it'll save time. I looked a while back and I did not find the part forsale -- looks like its part of an assembly -- not a solo part if I remember correctly.
