A/C Cycling Pressure Switch
'91 Aerostar, 4.0 litre. Should there be an o-ring to seal the air conditioner freon pressure cycling switch to the valve on the dryer/receiver? I replaced the pressure switch and the new switch did not have an o-ring. The connection leaked, so I installed a small o-ring that stopped the leak, but the o-ring spread out over time and blocked the pressure sensing hole in the pressure switch.

I don't recall seeing one when I replaced the accumulator during an A/C retrofit recently. I ran some teflon tape over the threads, ran it down handtight then seated it 1/2 turn with a wrench and it sealed fine.
