While driving, if i use the power windows, i can see my voltmeter jump down then up. At night my lights dim a little if i do that. Now is this normal? My battery IS 4+ years old... I dont remember seeing this in the past unless i wasnt looking close enough. Could i need a new alternator? New batt?
I would look at the battery first, clean the terminals, check the water, check the grounds. Check your fan belt. Put a volt meter on it with and without a load.
Clean the battery terminals, check the belts and have the electrical tested for free at autozone and maybe somewheres else if they find something wrong.
I had same problem with my 94 f-150 also my driver power window was working real slow.
After a short time of that.
I had to replace driver side power window motor.
All is ok now.
