I saw the web site they had an it was somewhat confusing. i have a 97 f150 and would like to be able to pull the codes for eng and brakes. does this interface from the truck diag port to a computer?
The ABS does send codes to the DCL connector but it seems that most consumer type scanners wont read them. Ones made for techs, such as at http://www.diagtek.com/index.shtml, can usually pull powertrain, body and chassis codes.
If you can find a website for the scanner your looking at it should tell you if it can read ABS codes.
I have a '98 4.6L. The '98 and '97 trucks have the analog gauges. I always wished I had the Digital display with speed, coolant temp, RPM and MPG as reported to the ECU by the various sensors. I found a product with ALL this and it's an OBDII code reader too! I bought it for $100.00. I've installed it and am very impressed. Check it out:
