Fuel tank question
My front tank in my 88 4.9 f-150 is leaking. I am assuming that the tank is bad but don't want to buy a new one til I know for sure that it is the tank.
Can I run the truck with the front tank out along w/the front intank pump or will it mess up the electronics so that the rear tank & pump will no work correctly?

Should be no problem. I've run my truck with the rear tank out on my 88. Just place a small plastic bag over the fuel lines, vent line and electrical connector. Tape them up so no dirt gets in them.

No problem i ran with out my front on the truck. I had to block the lines to the front tank because my fuel selector valve was bad. Keep an eye on the fuel in the rear tank going to the front tank. Aftermarket 19 gallon front tank runs about 100.00. I just put one in this week in mine, 1987 f150 4.9. It's set up like yours. Now my rear tank is leaking
