Another drivetrain question
I used to work for a guy back in the late 80's that had a 2wd 81 F250 light-duty pickup with the 300 6-cyl, 4spd and had over 320,000 miles (2 engine rebuilds) on it. This truck was the best truck I have ever used. It would get 22 mpg empty or loaded and whether you drove it 55 or 75. The transmission was not the standard old T-18 as it did not have the super granny low. Does anybody know what manual transmission it had and what gear ratio the rear end would possibly have been.
