leaking head gasket question

leaking head gasket question
my truck is getting the head gaskets replaced and the rear main as well. this is my question, i went in to look at my truck at the dealer and they had the heads on a pallet. The service guy who actually knows about trucks said they send the heads out to get cleaned, magna fluxed (sp) and new freeze plugs installed. i thought that this was cool and above what they normally would do. anyone have any idea if this is a standard procedure??

I've heard of this before. The main goal is to be sure the lip around the heads are completely bur free. It's just one more may to ensure you won't have the problem again. What year and build do you have? How many miles? Any other probs? Also how long did they say they needed it to fix it?

I dropped it off on the 31st and the parts didnt arrive until wednesday the 8th. should get it back this monday or tuesday.
i am glad that they decided to do a proactive approach to fixing my truck. guess they dont want to tear the engine apart agian.
