I have a leaky Windsheld andI have put a bead of sillicon all around the damn thang and it still leaks, Its beging to leak worse now. It leaks above the headlight switch and over part of the gage part of the dash soaking in on the edge of the head liner, it has ruined my head light switch and light are tricky to stay on all at ones. switch is 50 bucks from ford 25 from junk unless anybody has one for less let me know, And It also leakes on the side window behingd the drivers seat real bad, soaks the seat and carpet and floods the elictral under that window. stero jacks and cigerate lighter. But I am proud to say I drove my 90-91 Aerostar 930+ miles in less than 21 hours. From Charleston WV to Reading PA. with no problam and 21 miles a gallon on a extended 3.0 auto.

Yow!
I can get them "all day long" (I think) from a junkyard an hour away from me for $10 each. Probably less. But I'm on the Left Coast.
I've found a yard 80 miles north of me that's actually got early Ford Falcons in the yard, and parts aren't all that expensive (not that much of value is really left on them, but you just NEVER see 60's stuff in junkyards anymore around here).
You can also drill off the end of the two aluminum pins, push the pins out and disassemble the switch. Clean it up, use a little Lubriplate on the contacts and other sliding surfaces, then put a couple of (No. 6? No. 8?) machine screws and locknuts in place of the aluminum pins to hold it together. Sorry, no pics At least, that's the way I recall cleaning up the one I got from a yard a year or so ago. My old one was getting hot from internal resistance, so I picked up a used one and cleaned it up prior to installation. Plastic crap, eh?
