Woindering if anyone has posted (I searched, found nothing) or knows anything about putting the 71-72 window seal kits in the 67-70 trucks... it's my understanding that the 71-72 kit has a rubber wiper on the outside of the door glass, versus just the felt on the earlier models... but it will fit just fine? Anyone have aqny experience with this?
I need to replace mine on my 72. I'm not sure what's involved to replace them. Is it a pretty straight forward easy project or is it a hassle, requiring you to dismantle the entire door guts to get to them.
Was it a pretty easy job, snap out-snap in? Does it require completely removing the window glass and rollups, or? Do the kits you buy (the 3 letter place we can't mention) is the only place I have seen them, come with easy to follow directions, or is most of it in Japenese?
Thanks for any help...

Well. there were no instructions to follow, just the parts. Easy to do though. Yes the door guts require dismantling, but not a tough task. Pop off the door pannel after removing any trim and the arm rest and window crank. Unbolt the regulator and let the window down. I unbolted the wing window so it would give me more clearance. Then I removed the old stuff. I think I used a small screwdriver to pop out the clips that held the wipes in place. Put the new window channels in and then check to see if the wipes need trimming. Where they curve up at the back they may need some adjusting to butt up against the channel strip. Tin snips worked well here. Once the wipes are popped into the door its just reassembly. Do one door at a time and you can look at the other side to see how things go together. Its really a straightforward project, harder to explain than it was to do.
