Purchasing tires

I want to get new tires for my 2000 Limited X. I have the Steeltex on it now. Anyone have any suggestions on a good tires to get. I don't do any rough driving so I want a softer ride. I live in RI and these roads are horrible. If I drive a little fast I have to slow down every second to avoid a pot hole. I'm going to replace the shocks soon to something like the Rancho 9000 so I can adjust them for a softer ride. Also beside the local places here in RI or MA. any online suggestion where I can get a good deal. I'm going to check out direct tire. Any others. I was a little upset that my tires were not on the recall list, grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Thanks in advance.

Michelin Cross Terrians work for me for all around ride comfort. LTX M/S, LTX A/S, and Radial LT's from Michelin are also a good bet.
