Which rear End do i have?
Hello all i have a 73 f100 came with a v6 1 barrel im not sure if i have a ford 9' rear end can some one help the vin on the truck is F10ARS05766 any help is appreciated thanx

would you know how many splines are on the axles?? we want to buy a centersection and just drop it in would that be much work??would it be just a matter of droping in the axles ???any ideas or comments would be great as i am only 18.thanx

You probably have 31 spline axles. Pulling the center section is fairly easy, made much easier if you have a good place to work on it.
I'd pull it and go shopping. Have them swap your yoke over to the new one if you buy a rebuild. Or have yours redone.
Clean out your axle housing, esp if yours is a growler or broken.
Don't forget the axle tubes when cleaning.
