Mystery Of The Shroud Screws

Mystery Of The Shroud Screws
Here's today's mind-dazzling question for you 21st century tech wizards. How are the plastic phillips screws removed from the upper radiator safety shroud? They don't back-out with a screwdriver, so maybe they're a push- in/pull- out type fastener, if so what's the slotted head for? How exactly do they come out? Thanks

I get the idea that these aren't typical screws-they just go around and around counterclockwise and don't start to back out. They might start to back out if you pulled up on each one as you reverse threaded them out but this isn't practical. Has anyone really taken these turkeys out & with what method?

They will screw out if you hold your mouth just right and stand on one foot (jk) but all kidding aside they are push in pull out, just use a small (jewel's) screwdriver and carefully stick it under the head of the screw while prying up, once you get it started just grab it with your finger's and pull it out.

You are most welcome, they will screw out, just don't push down on the screw driver while turning it (my daddy allways said, "son, when screwing push in slow and easy, but pull out fast and hard")
