steering problem
my dad has a 97 F250 diesel xlt tilt steering all the goodies.the problem is that his steering wheel is all sloppy( moves side to side) and the truck gets really tough to steer somtimes. he has taken it to the shop a couple of times to get fixed but the guy cant seem to get the right parts. he thinks that it is the shaft that runs from the wheel to the steering box, but everytime he gets one from ford it is the wrong one. anyone ever have any problems like this??

my dad has one at work, its a 96? maby 97 f-250 351, and it dose the same thing, and it happens often, hate to tell ya but the steering columns just wear out, the only fix he has found is a new one from ford, not cheap but the fix. they go thorough one about once a year maby a little longer, he works for a municipality and the truck sees alot of movement due to plowing and other things, this seems to wear them out even faster.
