Tranny Oil
HEllo, I have a 1998 F-150 with the 4.6L V8 with the automatic tranny with a tranny cooler. I was wonder if I should get the transmission oil changed with a new filter or if I should get the whole transmission flushed by a transmission shop. I have heard though that the transmission flushing may loosen up metal chips if there are any and fry my tranny, but I have also heard horrer stories about just changing the filter and and fluid. Has anyone had good luck with either way? Thank you for your responce.
