Have a look at some of the expensive lift kits and see if they use them, if they do thesn yes you need them. But I will go out on a limb and say that you will because that will put them at a fair angle with the stock ones.

Yes you do. You will have a very tough time trying to align the truck if you only put the springs in, too much caster/camber. The better way to lift it is to get the extended radius arms and the truck will drive better. The lowered stock arms will work, but dont expect much from them.

You will need to lower the brake lines or get new SS ones. The best way to do the lift is to lower the whole front end out of the truck at one time, a pallet works well for it. Put large jackstands on the frame behind the radius arms, if you are getting the extended radius arms, make sure to put the jackstands far enough back .Putting the front end back in can be a pain, make sure to index the inner axle correctly, IE mark it with paint before you pull it apart. You will have to chisel/drill the rivets for the stock axle mount brackets, just takes some time.

When you align it make sure to get the oblong upper ball joint insert. It will allow for the new angles, Procomp makes them. Now would also be the time to check the ball joints and tie rods, they will probaly be worn out. The truck will never align properly with a loose front end. Have fun trying to find an alignment shop that will get it right the first time, those trucks are a pain in the rear to align.

Good luck,

Mark

You didn't wait very long before posting the 2nd question, the original question now has the right answer for you....and since you posted again in the 87-96 forum...we now basically have 2 of the same threads. I notified the moderator of the suspension forum so that the threads can be merged to one. Also, please turn on your private messaging and e-mail (through the User CP) so that we can notify you things in private. Thank you
