brake upgrade; will it work?
hi all,
in my quest to build the perfect truck, i want to have better brakes to help stop the powerhouse im building, 0-60 means nothing if you cant get from 60-0! i am building a 78 f250, with a d60 up front. my question is, will a complete front brake setup from a 96 era f350 work? the bolt patterns are the same, 8lug/6.5, so the rotors and caliper support brakets *should* bolt on. and i may be wrong here but dont the mid 90's trucks equiped with the 7.3 diesel have bigger calipers? so am i right in assuming that the conversion will be a bolt on upgrade? obviously i would need new rims, but im not going to use the crappy old split rims anyway. any help or ideas would be great! thanks
