390 help please.

Ok, Im rebuilding a 79 crewcab f250 4x4 , it came with a 400m which I sold. I rebuilt my 390 in my 74 crewcab f250 2x2. What I need to know is will my 390 drop right in on the towers in the 79 4x4 or do I need to change something.
I have other questions but i'll post them where they need to go thanks!!

Frist i think you'll have to check your trans , most 390 hook up to C-6s do you have a C-6 ? and i would go to a speed shop ask them about your motor hook up. good luck TNT

Take the engine perches and mounts from your 74 and bolt them on the frame of your 79. You will need to change the tranny as the 390 and the 400 do not share the same bell housing bolt pattern.

On your '74, check out what frame holes the perches use. I'm not sure if all the holes are in your '79 but it would be easy to drill them out. They must be there or Mike would have mentioned it.
