I have a 96 Explorer and have grown accustomed to the auto on/off headlights and the add-on daytime running light module I bought and installed.
Looking at the specs on an 05 Expedition, and it makes no mention of either of these... are they just understood to be standard now or are they NOT available any more?
Hmmm... may be I am missing it.... only thing I see on page 18 about headlamps is: "Headlamps - quad beam reflector system with integral park/turn lamps (blackout treatment on NBX and limited)"
Ooops... OK... now looking under Interior section and do see "Automatic headlamps"...
Does this include daytime running lights? If not, would you happen to know if there is still a wiring harness plug under the front bumper where it can be added?
Also, what the heck is blackout treatment on the headlights?
Have you seen the new Pueblo Gold next to last years Arizona beige? How different are they? I am considering a Wedgwood Eddie Bauer 05, but have never seen the new Pueblo Gold in person...
Strictly cosmetic on the headlights, and the Pueblo Gold is considerably lighter than the Arizona Beige. They were using it as a solid color on the 2004 Explorer XLT, so you may be able to find one of those for comparison.
Great... thanks, Jeff. I am hoping the Pueblo Gold looks better with the Wedgewood blue... I never really liked the Arizona with Wedgewood on the Eddie Bauer.
