Interior lights won't go off
My problem is with a 95 Aerostar 4.0 ExtAWD. My interior dome and floor lights won't shut off. Pulled the fuse for a quick fix, but this shut down my speedometer and odomoter. Has anyone had this problem or could you point me in the direction to start looking for what happened. Also my door ajar light stays on now. Could someone point me out where the relays and sensors are so I don't have to rip apart the all the van. Anything will help. Thanks

My first guess would be one of the door switches went bad. i know you probably have done this but check the headlight switch, sometimes it is the obvious things that we overlook. I own a '92 aerostar xl, and the rollers on the sliding door wore out, which caused the door to go out of alignment. when that happed the door didn't push the swith in enough so the lights stayed on. i am money concious so i haven't paid the 90 bucks to get the door fixed yet, i just rigged it with some card board on the door so it pushes the switch in all the way. try putting the fuse back in and make sure all of the doors are shut except of course the one you are testing, go around to each door, and push the switch in until you find one that makes the light go out. if this doen't find the culprit it take it to the dealer.
