Looking for cheap fixes

Well after moving to Colorado and trying to pass the local emissions I'm left with bad taste in my mouth. The first time I took the bronco to the test it failed the CO part which ment it was running to rich. I took it to the local dealership and was told and shown that the pcm was working incorrectly to company settings and needing to pass the emissions test i agreed to have it replaced. But now I have a loss of power at take off but it finally passed. does anyone have any cheap tips or quick fixes that might work to gain power?

you can advance the timing a bit this will give you a little more pickup. remove the spout connector and set timing (with a light) to 12*btdc then tighten bolt recheck and plug spout connector back in. disconnect battery and let sit for about 5 mins then reconnect and go for a drive. Also getting a hi flow exhaust will also help wake things up and can be done for under $300. Getting a drop in K&N filter would also help to. also a good tune up with ford 9mm wire, Msd coil, Msd Cap & rotor. and just plain jain autolite or motorcraft copper plugs will also do the trick. after this your gonna start spending a bit more money like Headers, Throttlebody still under $350 for these but will really show improvements

good luck
