E4OD leaking fluid

I have a 1994 F-350 Crew cab dually with a 460 and what I believe is a E4Od. The problem that I have is after getting the truck warmed up the tranny starts puking oil out between the tranny and the engine. I have read that the front seal is notorius for leaking on these tranny's. I have also heard that the torque converters heat up and warp and cause all sorts of problems, is there any truth to this? I guess I am going to pull the tranny out. I really do not want to rebuild it at this time as it is pretty pricey and the tranny is shifting fine as long as it is kept full of oil. DO I just need a new seal and go ahead and put a converter in while i have the tranny out? What else should I do to it. Thanks alot Jake

tranny leak

Also check the seal from the dipstick where it mounts the transmission, and I think there is a plug / overflow at the top of the transmission.

Either way, there may be something else causing the leak, so make sure if that is the leak point you are fixing the problem and not a symptom.
