Ok...I might **** a few of you off...but i hate shinny chrome lifted trucks...ive seen hundreds of trucks lifted & decked out like there ready to climb trees...BUT you will never see these trucks actually off road (paint job i geuss?). All there good for is jumping over a curb!! Why in the hell would u want a shinny chrome lifted truck if you cant use it? Does anyone have a bumber sticker making fun of these off road wantabe's?
One way to look at it is that anyone who builds up their truck, regardless of how they use it,is helping the aftermarket industry. And that directly effects everyone for the better. So even though we all have and use our trucks for different reasons,we are all contributing to the industry.
Come on now, don't lump all of the shiny lifted trucks together. Mine's blinged out a bit, but I still get it plenty muddy and it gets worked pretty hard. I've got the acetoned emblems, funky taillights, rims, and all that jazz, but it's still a truck, dings, scratches, dents and all.
I've said this before.... a truck has only ONE person to satisfy, the guy/gal that drives it. It doesn't matter what others like or dislike as long as the owner is happy with it. All the mods to my Ranger were made with only one person in mind ... ME.

I hate ugly junk trucks that get beat all day in the woods or hauling stuff, can't you take a little effort to make it nice looking and respectable at shows
-----not really I just want to disagree with the thread starter-----

I saw a bumper sticker one time that said "Hell on Wheels" with caution tape border.
