steering
Use a sissor or floor jack under the lower suspension control arm and raise each front wheel one at a time and check for looseness. Grab the tire at the 3 and 9 positions and try to rock it back and forth for play. There should be none. If you detect any play, look at the tie rod connection, perhaps the new end(joint) was improperly installed and has worked loose. IF OK, follow the tie rod back to the rubber boot and see if you can feel looseness or play within the boot. (Have a buddy rock the steering wheel or the tire for you while you check). Play here is likely the inner tie rod.
Do the same tire check the 12 and 6 position. Play here would be in either the upper ball joint (topmost pivot point) a common problem, the lower ball joint (rarely), or the axle bearing(toss up).
IF both sides check out, look at the steering linkage connection where the steering column comes out of the firewall. There is a short section with a universal joint that connects the steering column to the steering rack. Check the pinch bolt connections on either end of the short shaft.
Somewhere you should find the problem. Good luck!
