Alright ill be looking for a F-250 in two years or so for my first truck.(vehicle at that) Ok i am going to be looking into a 97 or 98 or a lil below with the old body style. (i love that body) Powerstroke, Reg cab or ext cab, 4X4. Ok i will be wanting to get a lift MAYBE. But what would the biggest tire size i can go on stock height? Also what is a good exhaust? and What kinda mileage would i get?
Welcome to FTE... you came to the right spot to get info. Check back often, it appears to be slowing down a bit for the night. These guys in this forum have a lot of experience and ought to be able to give you lots of feedback.
Thanks for the warm welcome Mod. Also i was thinking going 3" or 4" lift (suspension) with 35's. This is going to be my daily driver so i want it to look good get good gas mileage and play hard.
sportquadracer:.. welcome.. im into sport quads myself.. race on and off MX, do some XC too.. got a couple pics in gallery of quad..anyway where you from...?
Dont rule out the new superduties. They are a nice truck and have a great style. The solid axle makes lifting one very easy. Tire size is no problem with a superduty. Personally I like the newer superduties over the old style. It might be hard to get an old style truck like you want. Much easier to get a superduty.
My advice would be to think about a F350, a lot easier and cheaper to lift than the 250's in those years.
I concur. The 94.5 to 98 F-350's are a better option due to the solid front axle. The 99-04 F-250/F-350 both have solid front's so thats good. In two years, the prices on the 99-01 models should be down the where the 96-98 prices are right now.... or so I'm guessin.
