F250 keyless entry

I'm considering building/buying an alarm/starter disable and would like to activate these security measures via the factory remotes.

1. Does the ford factory alarm system have a starter disable and horn chirp/light flash and does it work with the existing factory remotes? Worth the money?

2. where is the factory remote keyless reciever module? Does any one have a wiring diagram of it they would be willing to share?

thanks ahead of time

Best bet is doing a search on your question. It has been covered in detail here before.

I've looked but no luck. I just want to know where the keyless entry module is located on my 03 F250 this way I can trace wires.

I think the keyless entry module is incorperated into the GEM module. Be careful which wires you play with cause its easy to toast that box. BTW, do you have a factory keyless entry in the truck already?

Are you planning on trying to syncronize the buttons on the factory keyless entry to work with a aftermarket alarm as well? If so, that will be difficult if not impossible to do. Easiest thing to do would buy a alarm/keyless entry combo and defeat the factory keyless entry. I doubt that you will be able to use the factory remotes cause all companys use different frequencys for transmitters. You may be lucky and find a company makes what you want thats compatible with factory transmitters. I can get you a wiring diagram from a 2001, don't know if its the same as your truck

No I am not trying to hook an aftermarket up to the existing system. I'm an electrical engineer and am going to build an alarm module that hooks to the existing system this way I can use my existing remotes and door keypad. If you would share your 2001 schematic that would be great! I can check it for accuracy against my 2003. thanks!
