I noticed the other day that my turn signals on my '89 are not working. I'm pretty sure that it is the actual module that controls them that is out. Both all of the bulbs are working. Where is the module located?
could be one of three things, first to check is the turn signal flasher, its a small canister shaped block located in the lower corner of your fuse box, under dash on drivers side by left leg. does it make an audible clicking noise when turn signal is on? if not could have gone bad,or is loose .or..also check fuse while your are down there the fuse could be blown, and neither turnsignal will work....(fyi flashers also work off of a similiar canister in the fuse box ) . pull it out(fuse or canister) take it to auto zone and ask for replacement. next and worse thing could be the turn signal switch, located in the steering column.if you haven't solved it yet, i'd go back and recheck the first two, if you wish to plunge on you will need to pull the steering wheel steering wheel cover and ignition switch to access the turn signal switch to replace it. i've never done that, but sound possible, just alot of work, and you'll need a steering wheel puller to get the wheel off the shaft.... i'd double check the first two things again. rick
I have the same problem. I thought it was just the red LED blinkers but when I replace the bulbs w/ the normal ones it still dose it.Mine still makes the sound when you turn them on its the front ones that dont work. I'v been tring to figure this out for months but have goten no where.
