'71 trailer wiring

Anyone make a fancy trailer wire adapter, or do I cut & splice? Thanks

Cut and splice. I can't find anything. Solder the connections and they will last a long time.

I had a 72 F-250 camper special and it had a plug in connection about half way between the back of the cab and the rear axle, along the left frame rail. Check to see if your truck has this connection, if so it will save you lots of time. The connector contained brake/turn, tail, back up, ground, and a constant 12V lead for inside lighting.

On my last trip to the salvage yard, I chopped a harness connector from the tailight harness of a truck same as my year. My intention is to make an adapter by taking the male and female parts of the harness, soldering the wires to each other along with the trailer harness, then plug this into the truck's wiring.
