I have a '92 F-150 with 5.8 litre. I changed plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Truck ran fine for about 2 weeks, then it developed a miss at idle and at low speed running. I have not noticed a miss at highway speeds. I checked for codes, so far nothing. Anyone have any suggestions?? Truck has 224,000 miles, uses no oil, and until this miss started, no running problems.
126: MAP/BP sensor out of self test range 1.4 to 1.6 volts
test your MAP sensor and test the wiring going to it. There should be 5V on the orange wire. I'm not sure what the voltage should be on the other wire, but for some reason I remember 2.5V. MAP sensors don't usually go bad, but it could be - definitely test it before replacing, because it is rather expensive (another option, get one from a junkyard).
