black smoke when starting
When engine cold first start a black smoke comes out of tail pipe engine sputter a little then idles ok when warm i restart and everything ok what could be the problem?

I think you need to pull the codes or go to autozone and let them do it (its free). Then replace the pcv valve. Its would appear the engine is rich, need to figure out the source of the added fuel, leaky injector(s) etc. Maybe the codes will give you an idea. Wouldn't hurt to do a compression test either. good luck

Fuel Pressure Regulator Failure Symptoms:
Engine runs rough
Engine stumbles or sputters
Engine runs very rich - black smoke from the exhaust
Engine will not start
Engine starts but stalls shortly after startup
Noisy fuel pump
Noticeable decrease in fuel mileage
