Converter Lockup Problems
This resolved the problem for 2 days and once again pounding while going into lockup for a week then nothing! I mean no lock up at all.... Fuel economy down to 10.5 mpg from average 17.
OK said the dealer, it's time for a new tranny now that you are out of warranty... 2 weeks later and $850 less in my pocket a shinny rebuilt tranny and converter sits under my butt.
Take her down the road and 30 seconds later... walah!!! check engine light and NO converter lockup??? Called the dealer and mentioned the problem, can't be said the dealer!! It was road tested.....
Talked to Dave a Diesel Innovations today and I bypassed rather grounded the lockup wire controlled by the PCM and even trying to force the tranny in lockup wont work.
Any one hear of no lock up issues like this?

I'm still ****ed off paying $850.00 as the unit should have been replaced under warranty.
