im looking to tow a car with my 92 aerostar 3.0L. does the 3.0L have enough power and will the trany hold up?

Generally, combined weights (towed car and/or trailer) of less than 3500 pounds can be towed without undue stress on the powertrain. It is recommended you do not tow with overdrive and not exceed 60mph. Check you owners manual for more exact specs depending upon which model you have.
