Smile Here is the manual

The float adjustment is made by removing the top of the carb (airhorn assembly) and taking measurements. Here is a link to the manual for that carb on Edelbrock's webpage.
http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/index.html
Click on the carburetors link, then on EPS carb manifold link.
If it is a new carb, they reccommend doing this right out of the box to ensure the float adjustment didn't get messed up during shipping.
Hope this helps,
Dave

I could be wrong here but, could the acclerator pump need adjusting. You can adjust them on Edelbrocks in the front of the carb. There is a small "plunger" with a lever attached, if you move the rod the moves the lever down(there is 3 holes) you will get less gas when you first stomp on it.
