studder in low RPMS under acceleration
I have a 99 F150 4.6 4x4 with a 5 speed manual. For the last 2 months now, its been a little hesitant when accelerating in the low R's. Almost like a small backfire. Its not from the trans, almost like a dead spot in the TPS, but its not all the time. It does it more when its raining or very humid (foggy) out, but it only does it in the low RPMS and under slight acceleration. If I drive it harder, it seems ok. The truck has 90k on it and I have never done any maintanence to it, other than tires, ujoints, brakes and K&N filter. I also had to replace the read end, but that was "an act of stupid" that caused that to go out.
Anybody got any ideas ? I have never really looked under the hood, doe this motor have the COP's on it like a 5.4 ? Could somebe going bad ? There are NO trouble lights on and it idles smooth.

Fixed it today. Apparently the OEM plugs really need to changed before 90,000 miles. They must have had a .100" gap in them and were dang near completely wore out. Took me about an hour and I got them replaced with Motorcraft platnum plugs.
