Question Predator and MPG

I have been running the Predator for about a week now and it's great. I just did a weekend trip to San Marcus from Houston and got 15.87 MPG. This is mostly highway (80-85 mph using cruise control) but with some around town driving and really bad stop and go traffic on the way there. Plus some 90-100 mph runs up and down hwy-35. (Everyone and there brother was on I-10 this weekend.) I am wanting to know what kinda mpg you guys running the Predator are getting. I am running the 65hp setting. Thanks for any replies.

How was it before adding the Predator? Is this an improvement or worse?

BP I had only made a few short highway trips and kept the speed down around 70-75 mph and averaged about 18 mpg. This recent trip was not a good test because of all the in-town driving done and also runing up and down I-35 at 100mph was not much help on the milage.

Daryl's question is valid, because the before and after figures are only relative for YOUR driving style....

I PROMISE, I rarely worry about fuelage - TOO many other nice things about this beast that I like to focus on...
like how a LOADED X can go 600 miles or more on our trip to memphis and back on one tank of fuel at SPEED enough to SCARE me to death when I went by that Arkansas state trooper last night

And purr along on whatEVER cruise setting you want to set it on...

Had a LITTLE fun when the wife was snoozing...
This tricked out Escalade with 20's on came by even faster and I eased on the throttle enough to catch and pass him quickly just to see...
as I got along side him I heard him floor it and it downshifted but still fell back

I slowed and let him lead since I had already been scared down to 75 mph by the tropper

Then a Hummer tried the same thing !!!
I laughed the predator laugh as I felt the SERIOUS push this truck does above 80 mph YaaHaaHAAA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And STILL the seriously overloaded (no towing) X had 19 on the overhead....

If I cared to check it manually I would guess it's in the 17 range...
but that's STILL better than the last two MUCH smaller vehicles I had !

Hey Mo, sounds like you wont get much more than 14 in the city like the most of us because your little peddle on the right is to easy to push....I think I'll get a thick rubber sponge or something to put under mine so I cant mash it to the floor.....NAH.....that wouldnt be any fun....so I 'll get 13-15 in the city and enjoy it.....on a real note I hope I can get 19-20 on the hyw with the cruise set on 75.....if not I really dont care cause I bought it to tow with.....I had a 2wd Toyota Tacoma that would only get 17-19 on the hyw and it was half size of the 4x4 CC SD Fx4.....so am i happy with my mileage.....You bet I am. I tried out the 45 hp program yesterday and it was alright. I think I will use it on my next road trip and see what difference it makes with my milage. I re-installed the 65 hp program, it's just toomuch fun.

but the 65hp is the most "effecient" mode....
IF yu can stay out of it
the 45hp is the tow mode... wouldn't think it woudl give u as good mpg's ....

I know it says the 65hp is the economy mode. I figured I would give the 45hp mode a try on the highway and see what it does.

I ran the 45 hp mode over the weekend, not towing anything. We traveled
486 miles over two days. Roughly 40 miles of them were idleing in the
mountains(6-10% grades and the t/h worked beautiful) and through
5 differant camp grounds, and off roading. We averaged 18.8 mpg.
When we were on the interstates, 70-75 mph. If you stay out of the
pedal, the 45 hp mode appears to get good mileage. Oh yea,
we were in 4X4 while off roading.
The Predator will chirp the tires in the 45 hp mode in the first gear shift.
This thing is and .
