HELP! A4LD Compatability??
I have a '94 2.3 Ranger, w/ the infamous A4LD. It has been acting strangely for a year, and seems to have finally crapped out. It drags the motor down at idle, and 2nd gear seems to be entirely gone. I don't have the money for a rebuild, even a cheap one. The only A4LD from a 2.3 I can find is from a '93 Mustang. Will it work?? Hollander's only shows the Ranger and B2300 as compatable donors, but the Mustang trans appears the same. PLEASE, if anybody knows if this will/won't work, help me out here!!

Welcome to FTE!
Short of having both trannys side by each to measure etc., I personally don't know.
