When new, my truck had a clunk when wheels were turned left and started returning right. I now have 3k mi. and just installed a 5.5" fabtech lift now the same noise is made when changing turning (or conering ) directions. The dealer thought it was factory leafs shifting but with thew lift they were replaced, now 5 shop days later they want me to return so they can "keep looking". Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! Eric
Thanks, I'm thinking it is the track bar, my dealer has had it in for 5 days (2 seperate visits) but has given me no paperwork. I'm thinking I'm getting blown-off since paperwork = profits for them. I really appreciate the input / welcome! Thanks again, and any more input would be appreciated! Thanks again, Eric
Things to look at: Trac arm bushings, tie rod ends, balljoints. Other possibilities: sway bar bushings, shock bushings, spring eye bushings. On an '04 I would think the bushings should not be worn out, but the bolts that they mount on could be loose.
Yes, as long as I can get over this broken collar-bone in time. The outdoor nationals are next weekend, would like to go spectate but were taking the quads to Pismo instead. See you in the Dez! Eric
Ouch . Hope you get back to normal soon. Good luck with race if you do . I've never been to Pismo, sounds like a great place though. Will be in Ocotillo in mid October for my birthday and then the season kickoff trip for most of the people I camp with is Halloween weekend. Looking forward to that one .
