Question Electric Rad Fan

Switch Placement on an '86 5.0L with Electric Rad Fan

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Guys & Gals, it's me again with yet another question...

I'm still working on the vent & door glass but while I let that job simmer, I also need some advice/direction on adapting my 5.0L which I pulled from an '86 Mark VII where it used a mechanical clutch fan running off the crank, to using a 2 stage electric fan out of a Taurus (I believe ).

I don't want to delete sensor info to the EEC-IV, but I would like to run a temperature switch off the block/coolant.

QUESTIONS:
Is there another take off somewhere on the block where I can insert a temperature switch?
Has anyone done this and have advice part #'s or "don't go there" suggestions?

GW

Hotronics makes a switch kit that has an A/C relay, control box, and sensor along with good instructions too. I bought the 180 degree kit and wired up a late 90's Town Car fan on my '66 F100 351W swap. Works fantastic. I called them after seeing their ad in a street rodder magazine. I placed the sensor in one of the two holes in the intake behind the t-stat in the water crossover.
