The survey says!

A couple a weeks ago I got a survey from a research group that works for FORD. It wanted to know how I liked my new truck and did I have any problems with. It was pretty long and covered everything. I put all the things that I have had problems with like belt noise, paint issues, A/C not cooling very well, scratches on center console, and last my truck had the wrong rear window installed from factory. I got a call the research company last night. They told me that FORD was troubled about my new truck, and wanted some more info. I told them I got the new updated belt and that solved my noise. The correct rear window was installed. On the paint issues I said they might make it worse so I would do it myself very picky about that and on the A/C I would wait until I really had a problem to get it fixed. I'm not sure what’s going to happen now. I am real curious. I have a March 04 6.0 2wd super cab long bed XLT. 2300 miles on the clock

Well, if you need some added info. to share with them... Give'm this..

I bought my truck 8 months ago.. 1/03 build.. And have had the Ford Survey sitting on my desk since 'almost' then.. Was going to send it while I was having problems, and was the most disappointed , but thought I'd wait and cool down since I work indirectly with the guys doing to repairs.. If I slammed Ford for the poor build, then it would affect the dealer (brother works there) which had 'no part' in the building of the truck.. I started to complete it, as I was hit with 3 rear main leaks, starter replaced, hydo booster, radiator clamps, trans leak (cooling line from removal) Turbo drone/pedastal replacement, and the A/C wasn't charged enough from the factory and the now 'normal' trans clunk.. OPPS, also the cam sensor is leaking, as well as the front diff. cover.. Soon to go in for warranty.. Sooooo, what to do?? Its only right that Ford should 'do right' for the people that faithfully bought their product.. Mine has always run great, and maybe I should concider myself lucky, but there should be some kind of compensation for the owners that have had a problematic build such as a longer warranty, or in my case maybe a reduced price for an 05 ,or a high trade in and wholesale/auction the truck off with no more warranty.. Mine hasn't met the requirements for a buy back.. Its been a really nice truck to drive and commute in, but it could'a been better..And with all the Surveys.. I'm sure Ford knows..

Well I can say that all my problems have been small. I really feel for you guys have major problems. I have been there with my last truck. I think that bean counters design trucks these days. I'll keep everybody updayed if I get anything back on this.

You can slam Ford all you want. The dealer only gets graded on the dealer section, which either relates to the actual sale of the truck (sales surveys), or service experience (service survey). On the service surveys, the only thing my dealer used to care about for my CSI bonuses was the "overall service experience" box.
