Hey all.
When I bought my '94 Aersostar used a few months back, the dealer swore that it had a 3.8L V6. From reading around, I see that those engines possibly weren't even put in Aerostars.
Looking around for sites with VIN code breakdowns, I could only find one site, and it was a bit sketchy, but I *think* I have a 4.0.
If anyone here can give me a better breakdown of the code, and tell me exactly what this puppy has in it, please let me know. Here's the code:

OK,here's what I came up with;
1 = origin - USA
F = Manufacturer - Ford
M = Type - multipurpose vehicle
D = GVWR - #5000-#6000
A = Model - Aerostar
41 = Chassis/body type - AWD, extended, passenger van
X = Engine - 4.0L 6 cylinder
7 = Check digit - ??? whatever that means
R = Year - 1995
Z = Assembly plant - Hazlewood, MO
A57382 = serial/warrenty number
