Hi all, I've been reading the 2004 F-150 section for a while - just picked up a True Blue FX4 Scab last weekend. Let me say that this is the smoothest vehicle that I have ever ridden in. The dog loves the roll-down rear windows! Like others suggested, I read this forum for a while to see what issues to watch for, and when I found none of them on the test drive I got the truck. Anyway, thanks everyone for sharing likes and dislikes, it has helped me tremendously!

BTW, previous vehicle was a '91 F-150 Scab. I really liked that truck but there is really no comparison.

Congrats dude...that true blue color rocks. Do you mean you bought a supercrew or do you really have a supercab with rear windows that roll down? I didn't know they did that??

Supercabs above STX trim level have power rear windows. Congrats on the new truck. I have almost 2000 miles on my 04 SuperCrew and we love it. When Ifirst started looking at them, My wife refused to drive one every day. Now I can't get her out of it...so I am going to get another one for me.

Congratulations on the new truck. I bought mine 1 week after they hit the dealer lots in September 2003. I have 8200 miles on mine and I like it more each time I drive it. I have an XLT supercab with the 5.4 engine. I am towing a 4000 lb. camper and the truck just does a super job. I did experience the slip/clunk I have read about on this site though. The mechanic at the dealer said that it was just a matter of everything seating properly in the rear end. He said I should notice the problem becoming less frequent and less noticable and that about 10,000 it would not be evident anymore. So far he is correct. We will see at 10,000 miles. Anyway, overall I couldn't be happier with mine. I hope you have a great experience too.

Mike
