I have a 99 f150 and the airbag light flashes 3 times pauses then flashes 7 times then repeats several times, then stays on. I also noticed that the passenger side lockoff switch dosen't light up now. What's wrong and how do I fix it.
I dont see a code 37 in the manual. Could it be a 27?
A code 27 is for a burned out bulb in the Passengers Airbag Disable switch.
Unfortunately you cant just replace the bulb easily. Ford sells the whole switch if you need the bulb. Other people on here have replaced just the bulb though. if you hit the search button near the top of the page you might be able to find more info on doing that.
You were right the code is 27. Anyway I searched the forum and found a post on how to replace the bulb with a LED and resistor, followed the instructions, it worked!!! No more airbag light!!! It took less than 1/2 an hour and the parts cost about 3 bucks at Radio Shack. Thanks for such a GREAT forum.
