brake hardware with key?

brake hardware with key?
I just left my local Autoclone with a brake hardware kit to try to fix some clunking noises over bumps. I've got a 74 250 custom, striaght six. I was asked if mine had a "key" or not. Since they only offer a kit for one, I took whatever they had. Does anybody know what this "key" is?

nevermind...I'm a jackass
I just discoverd that the "key" in question is nothing more than what I've known to be a tensioning spring. My guess would be that all similar trucks use this "key." I'm sure many of you have seen these springs that look like leaf springs when working on one of Ford's floating calipers.
